Riccardo Cavanna has been appointed to the Vice Presidency, for the two-year period 2020-2022, and as President, for the two-year period 2022-2024, of Ucima. 16/07/2020

At the end of consultations with associated companies, the designation commission of Ucima (Union of Italian manufacturers of automatic packaging machines) has established that the two-year period 2020-2024 will see two entrepreneurs alternate in the presidency.  The appointments were decided during the Governing Council of 17 June, which established that in order to give voice to both candidates, in light of the great consensus found by both among the membership base, this mandate will have a rotation. A relay race to the presidency motivated by the desire to enhance the programs presented and who wants to give a signal of strong cohesion and common purpose regarding the objectives of further development of Ucima and the sector represented.

The figures for 2019 were also shown: the Italian manufacturers of automatic wrapping and packaging machines exceed 8 billion euros in turnover, with a growth of 2.2% on the previous year, confirming its position as the first in the world and exceeding German competitors.

Matteo Gentili, President of TMC (Tissue Machinery Company), has been appointed as the new president for the two-year period 2020-2022. The vice-presidents will be Riccardo Cavanna and Roberto Paltrinieri of Tetra Pak. Luciano Sottile di Goglio, member of the board of directors and vice-president for the 2016-2020 four-year period, was delegated the powers for promotional and fair activities.

Riccardo Cavanna will take over as President for the 2022-2024 period.

In July, during the annual Assembly, Gentili was officially elected and his mandate program was presented, thus officially sanctioning the handover with the current President Enrico Aureli, CEO of Robopac and OCME.

An important personal recognition for Riccardo Cavanna, but also for the company itself.
