Marchesini and Cavanna were Elected Ucima Vice-Presidents 26/06/2012

The owner of Marchesini Group, newly-elected President of Confindustria Emilia-Romagna, former President of Unindustria Bologna and a member of Confindustria national board and Riccardo Cavanna, CEO of Cavanna S.p.A, are the new vice-presidents of the National Association of Builders of automatic machines for packaging and wrapping.

Maurizio Marchesini, owner of Marchesini Group, international leader of machines for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging and Riccardo Cavanna, Chief Executive Officer of Cavanna S.p.A, an international company focused on the equipment for packaging food, are the new vice-presidents of Ucima, the national sector association of Italian manufacturers of automatic machines for packaging and wrapping. Both Vice-Presidents will come up beside Ing. Giuseppe Lesce, who on the occasion of the National Assembly held on June 15th at the association headquarters (Villa Marchetti, Via Fossa Buracchione, 84 Baggiovara) was reconfirmed Ucima President for the next four years. The manufacturers of packaging and wrapping machines closed 2011 with flying colors. With a 14.4% increase compared to 2010, this year the sector turnover reached 4,300 million euros, going beyond 2008 performances, considered as the record year. With a 26.4% worldwide market share, Italian industry confirms and enhances its international leadership, second to Germany only (27.7%). This is a market where the exports share on the total turnover reached 89.5% above all on the European and Asiatic markets.
